About Us
I.  Our Mission
Cooper Christian Academy has as its goal to encourage and re-ignite every student's God-given desire to explore, question, and discover and to channel that desire in a way that leads to the ability to gain knowledge, make sound decisions, and develop creative yet solid solutions resulting in well-rounded, creative, involved young men and women prepared for continuing education and productive citizenship.  This is accomplished by:
1.  Providing opportunity to discover the Truth of God through study of the Bible, Science,
Math and the Arts.
Because we believe God is the Creator, Sustainer, Author and Perfector of all that was, is, and
will be, we believe that the honest study of  all that is will point to the Truth of God.  This Truth
will stand in the face of all questions and scrutiny. It stands, not opposed to Science, Math, and
the Arts, but the source of those disciplines.  Through this revelation of the Truth of God, it is our
prayer that the Holy Spirit will begin to woo the heart of each child to know God personally and
to discover the saving power of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

2.  Equipping students with the skills necessary to read and examine the above disciplines so as to
prepare them for and promote a lifestyle of discovery and understanding.
Education should not merely be the dissemination of facts to the student -- telling the student
what to believe -- that is by definition indoctrination.  Instead our goal is to teach students how to
investigate and learn.  A heavy emphasis will be placed on reading, comprehension, research,
and expression of ideas.  By learning to competently perform in the above disciplines, students
will be enabled to continue discovery throughout their lives as they keep up with and even lead
the way in innovation and invention.

3.  Creating situations which allow learning traditional topics in practical application settings.
Patterning our teaching after that of God in the Old Testament - where He used feast to teach His
people - and Christ in the New Testament - where He used parables to teach His disciples, we
will,  wherever possible, seek to teach disciplines in practical, hands on situations.  Instead of
merely assigning bookwork, students will engage in projects implementing a variety of
disciplines.

4.  Preparing students for continuing education and beyond.
Our desire is to prepare our students to succeed in whatever venture God may call them to
experience.  In doing this, we believe all the students we work with should be able, not just to
succeed in college, but to excel there should this be their path.  The education they receive at
Cooper Christian Academy will not only prepare them for college and graduate school, but to
pursue a life of discovery and learning.
